We are excited to announce our Keynote Speaker for the 2024 SFCAPN Primary Care conference

Dr. Carrie Cormack is focused on improving the quality of life for individuals living with serious illness through palliative care education and practice. She led the development and successful implementation of the nation’s first Post-Master of Science in Nursing to Doctor of Nursing Practice Lifespan Palliative Care program. As faculty with the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) and a fellow with the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA), Dr. Cormack teaches palliative care to interprofessional healthcare clinicians and students locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
Dr. Cormack takes Palliative Care to a new level in her lectures and we are excited to have her for our conference. The new AACN Essentials now require all APRN programs to have Palliative Care as full nursing scope of practice for entry-level professional nurses and advanced-level nurses within primary palliative, hospice, and end-of-lifecare settings (AACN Essentials sphere of hospice/palliative/supportive care).
