ALL DEA registered practitioners need one-time 8 hour training
Posted about 2 years ago by Vicky Stone-Gale
Effective June 27, 2023 all DEA-registered practitioners must complete a one-time eight hour training requirement. This is a FEDERAL requirement that you must have in order to keep your DEA registration. This does not take the place of the Florida license renewal requirement of 3 hours of safe prescribing of controlled substances. It is in addition to and you must check a box you have completed the training on your next DEA renewal.
The deadline is the date of the practitioner's next scheduled DEA submission for renewal--regardless of whether it is initial registration or a renewal registration--on or after June 27, 2023.
