Do you ever wonder what you can and can't do in your practice as an APRN?

Posted over 3 years ago by Vicky Stone-Gale

Many questions are received from our membership asking if specific procedures or treatments can be done as an APRN in the practice. As an organization and for legal reasons we are not able to answer those questions, but you can reach out the the Florida Board of Nursing by means of a Declaratory statement to get your answers. You will need to follow the specific requirements set forth by the BON to submit a Petition for Declaratory statement and when you receive your answer from the BON that will only pertain to you as the petitioner, not to all licensed APRNs in the state. The link below will take you to the BON site and walk you through the process. You can also reach out to them if you have questions on completing the necessary documentation.
