Meeting cancellation requirements

Posted about 1 month ago by Vicky Stone-Gale

We would like to remind all members that it is necessary to cancel your RSVP for the meeting if you are not going to be able to attend. This will open a slot for others wanting to attend that are on the wait list, but more importantly the meeting sponsor has to pay for a dinner for someone that is not in attendance. We try very hard to get sponsors and we don't want to cause any issues with them because they are paying for individuals not there. In the future, please send a courtesy message that you will not be attending. The numbers are called to the restaurant and given to the meeting sponsor on Friday before the meeting. We do understand things may happen at the last minute but would appreciate if you can try to cancel by Friday. The attendance list is printed out on Monday morning so if you cancel on Monday your name is not removed from the list and you are considered a no-show. If you have 2 no-shows in a year, you will not be able to register for future dinner meetings. We appreciate your cooperation so we can continue to get sponsors for our meetings and provide you with a great lecture and dinner. Please let me know if you have any questions.
