We are seeking a Manager of Nursing Education for The South Florida State Hospital in Pembroke Pines, FL. The Manager oversees, reviews and implements training to assure that the nursing staff is trained to function in a competent, proficient manner in order to meet the needs of adults and seniors with serious and persistent mental illness, substance use disorders and medical problems.
Candidates will have a Master’s degree in Nursing and a minimum of three to five years experience in psychiatric mental health nursing with at least one year in nursing education. Certification in mental health nursing is preferable. Candidates must have a Current Florida State license as a Registered Nurse and a proven track record in designing ad hoc training, measuring outcomes for effectiveness and working knowledge of Performance Improvement.
